The Police are continuing investigations into an alleged shooting incident on Lower Newgate Street, where a 60yr old male is now nursing a gunshot wound to his lower body at the Sir Lester Bird Mount St. John Medical Center.
The elderly man was reportedly at his home when a male figure entered his home, assaulted and shot him in the process.
The man is said to be in stable condition at the hospital.
The alleged incident occurred shortly after midday on Thursday 24th June.
The Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activities in the area to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462- 3914.
