PDV-CAB OPERATIONS MANAGER ENCOURAGES PENSIONERS TO REGISTER FOR UTILITY-SUBSIDY PROGRAMME BEFORE END OF MAY

Quite a number of pensioners have been registering to join the Senior Citizens Utility Subsidy Programme, which forms part of the PDV-CAB initiative.

Laurie Louard, the programme’s Operations Manager, says that registration is now taking place and will conclude at the end of May.

He is encouraging those pensioners who have never been part of the programme to get registered. Once registered, they are eligible to receive a subsidy booklet that allows them to credit $100 monthly towards their electricity, water or telephone.

The bills that pensioners must present as proof of address do not have to be in their names, Louard explains, but they must be for the home in which they reside.
