Information Minister dissatisfied with COVID-19 Tracking Bracelets

Several of the 500 Covid-19 monitoring bracelets have been damaged, Information Minister Melford Nicholas says citing disappointment.

The government purchased the bracelets in 2020 to monitor the movement of individuals placed on home quarantine.

Nicholas stated that his ministry is in communication with the suppliers of the device seeking a replacement.

“There is a significant level of disrepair in the bracelets in terms of how they have stood up to the field application.

It is fear to say that there has been a degree of dissatisfaction with the performacne of the bracelets. My ministry is in active contact with the suppliers and is seeking a full replacement with an upgraded version.”
