Vaccine Registry in place for returning Nationals

Residents abroad who have been fully vaccinated and wish to return to Antigua and Barbuda will be entered into a database to allow Health officials to better manage its vaccination record.

Information Minister Melford Nicholas in speaking with the press stated that these persons will be kept in a separate registry.

“There are number of persons who have been abroad  and have acquired a full slate of vaccines, we want those persons to come forward and register those vaccines. As well they will be kept in a separate register.”

“The reason for that is that they will be an essential part of society and those numbers are important and significant. They will add to the total number of  persons in society who are vaccinated,” he added.

Those person’s who have been fully vaccinated abroad will have to present the evidence, and their names to be entered into the registry.

Those vaccinated in Antigua and Barbuda are already entered into a database which is a permanent record of the dates, the type of vaccine, and other pertinent data required by health professionals.
