Former Education Minister to face High Court

The case involving Former Education Minister, has now advanced to the High Court.

The decision was made after Magistrate Ngaio Emmannuel-Edwards handed down the judgement on April 28, during the committal hearing.

The judge ruled that there is sufficient evidence against the Member of Parliament.

The prosecution, therefore, proceeded to tender 6 pieces of evidence that will be used against the former Government Minister, during the trial.

The case could be called any time after September and if Browne pleads not guilty to the two charges against him, he will be placed on trial.

The 44-year-old MP was arrested and charged in November last year.
