The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda met today and deliberated on revising the Curfew Hours and roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines in Antigua and Barbuda.
Trumpet News understand from a source close to the Cabinet, at the end of what was considered to be a marathon meeting, a decision was taken that the new Curfew hours will be from 6 pm to 5am effective Tuesday 16th February. A full deliberation on the issue will be examined at Wednesdays Cabinet meeting.
We further understand that the Head of the Antigua and Barbuda Nurses Association was also invited to the Cabinet to dialogue on the issue of vaccine roll out and the stance the Nurses Association has taken with regards to the Astrazeneca vaccine. A final position is this issue is also expected at Wednesdays meeting. However vacination on the population is expected to commence soon.
The new Curfew hours by the Cabinet is not expected to go down well with the general public as a number of persons seem to be suffering from Covid fatigue but as our source have informed the Government must govern with the information it has before it and apart from irrisponsible behaviour by some members the population with regards to the Covid-19 protocols everyone can see the rise in numbers.
