Residents will be able to benefit from a 10 percent reduction in the Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) over two weekends this month.
A notice from the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) recently made this disclosure.
It said that the “Cabinet at its meeting held on Wednesday November 25, 2020 agreed to reduce the Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax rate from 15% to 5%…from Friday December 11,2020 12am to Sunday December 13,2020 11:59pm [and] from Friday December 18,2020 12am to Sunday December 20,2020 11:59pm.”
The tax will revert to the normal legislative rate on December 14 and December 21 respectively.
