Police Continue Probe into Alleged Arson on Policeman’s Home

The Police are continuing their probe into a report of an alleged arson at a Policeman’s home in Villa.

It was reported that sometime between 9pm on Monday 28th and 4am Tuesday 29th September; some unknown person(s) went to the officer’s home at Bryson Street, Villa and allegedly tried to destroy his property. The perpetrator(s) apparently poured what appeared to be a flammable liquid on his front porch and set it ablaze.

The blaze caused damage to the porch and a wooden door, as well as furniture in the living room area. The officer was able to successfully extinguish the blaze; averting any further damage to the property and personal injuries.

Meantime, the Police Administration has strongly condemned this blatant attack on a member of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, or any law enforcement agency; including any member of the public. An appeal is made to anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914.
