Blue Diamond pulls out of Jolly Beach Resort

Trumpet News have been reliably informed that the relationship between Sunwing and Jolly Beach Cooperation will come to an abrupt end today.  Over the past weeks tensions have been mounting with regards to the renewal of the contract between both entities.  The contract which expired this month was yet to be agreed upon.  This means that the Starfish Brand is no longer associated with the Jolly Beach Resort.

Security personnel saw the General Manger, Mr Chris Forbes today packing his personal items into his vehicle while leaving the compound he said goodbye to a number of them.  Trumpet News also understands that Mrs. Francine Burton is now acting General Manager at the resort which is now been Manage by it owners Jolly Beach Cooperation 

Jolly Beach Cooperation and the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union are locked in a legal battle at the High Court with regards to outstanding wages and benefits owed to employees. Trumpet News understands that Government is still in the process of acquiring the property which is heavily indebted to various statutory Cooperations and creditors as well as owing it’s employees their severance payments.

A few month ago it was mentioned by Chief of Staff Lionel Max Hurst that Canadian Businessman Calvin Ayer have his eyes on the property and may have expressed an interest in acquiring it.  Trumpet news will continue to follow this breaking and developing story.
